Is this love or just lethargy?
The adorable clawed spawn of hell that one young lady christened Snowball due to its plentiful, white fur has decided to express its appreciation and love for its caregiver. On one sunny afternoon the graceful beast planted itself on her owner’s neck and nuzzled her.
The official dictionary definition of ‘nuzzle’ does not clearly stipulate that affection is involved but we just know that it is.
The lady felt quite pleased that she was worthy of her little angelic demon baby’s admiration and ended up posting a picture of the situation onto social media to mass acclaim from a moved audience. Many believed it was quite a serene image. Some left ‘hearts’ for comments to express just how much they hearted the scene.
Unbeknownst to everyone involved, Snowball had had a tiring day.
First he knocked over a mug that wasn’t exactly in his way but was near its way, so I suppose we can understand its actions. An exhausting act. Then he jumped up and down the bookcase to inspect whether or not it was up to code. An orderly commander. To top it all off, Snowball bathed himself. A hygiene-conscious hero.
After all that work one would expect anyone to be absolutely exhausted.
So when Snowball dropped down on his owner’s neck, was that a drop-down following a long day or a drop-down of adoration? Considering Snowball regularly attacks his owner when she steps out of line, it is fairly safe to say that the cat was tired. Her neck was just a headrest. We are all a cat’s furniture.
