The woman pictured above has been through absolute hell. A harrowing experience. Her freedom to infect and kill her fellow person has been violated! Struck down like it meant nothing!
Armed with a sign and a bare face, she made her points very clear. The mask is becoming like a muzzle! Because now she is unable to bite other dogs or people! Wait, no. Okay so the muzzle metaphor does not track but there are other points to be made.
She was born with a fully functional breathing system. As were those around her. It should be her right to flaunt that breathing system in the face of a virus, regardless of whether or not it would go on to destroy hers and everyone else’s gift.
A second wave of cases has begun in many countries, while the first wave continues in nations like India, Brazil and the United States. And only in the latter have citizens realised that a simple surgical mask is a symbol of oppression. And it must be true, otherwise this woman would not have written anti-mask slogans on a sign.
Writing something on a sign is infinitely more difficult than wearing a mask in public, so she must have a point, whatever it may be.
You see, because people can’t speak when they have a mask on! Oh, they can? They can’t breathe! Oh, the point is to help you breathe without the assistance of a ventilator?
How can they eat with a mask on? Is that the plan? Starve them into submission? What kind of totalitarian nightmare have the rest of us sheep submitted ourselves to?!
True freedom means the freedom to do whatever the hell you want! Except for murder, theft and drugs I suppose. Also, you have to study law for years to practice so presumably there are already plenty of rules and regulations to follow. But this is new and hence scary so they shouldn’t have to do it!
And what about those people who happen to be allergic to masks? Yes, of course they are absolutely lying about it but why shouldn’t we take them at face value? Oh, I forgot, faces are illegal now.
