Get a load of this absolute idiot.
In the last two hours, six of his peers have nibbled on a dangling worm without questioning the source of this free dinner. And without fail all six appear to have been forcefully dragged from their homes and into the dry heavens, never to be seen again.
This particular fish had heard stories from birth of how its father had been enticed by a delicious meal that appeared out of nowhere, only to have his mouth stuck to a hard, curved material that was not abundant in their large hometowns. But the fish had chalked this up to a kind lie his mother had fed him. For all he knew, his father probably joined another school.
But recent developments involving disappearances of the same nature had briefly brought him to question his own questioning. For a second.
Now with a new hook before him it appears he has ignored most of his concerns as he wades close to inspect it.
On the one fin this seems like a mysterious murder device of which he should be wary. On the other fin, he sure could do with a juicy earthworm right about now.
Does he eat a nice meal and risk the possibility of death? Does the benefit truly outweigh the risk? On the one hand, he has a presumably long life to lead that will surely lead to delicious, albeit familiar food. On the other, apparently this food is good enough to die for. Allegedly. Who is to say that those fish were even killed? Maybe fish lead better lives above sea level. No one has done any proper study, except for those who have been hooked and managed to escape. Did they even go anywhere? Maybe its all a hoax?
The survivors keep rattling on about some beast with fingers or something at the other end of the hook. Poppycock probably.
Does he risk being a gullible fool or does he…oh he’s taken the bait aaand….there he goes. So long, you colossal dumbass. Good luck on the non-aquatic realm.
